In this role, you are responsible for managing direct and indirect tax activities for assigned countries across Asia and Europe, reporting to the Tax Delivery Manager. The role will play a key role in end-to-end tax compliance for the assigned countries and will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and compliant execution of tax activities

In this role you will be contributing for Robot & Discrete Automation in Bangalore, India
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Manage end-to-end tax compliance activities for assigned countries, including Input and Output VAT/GST preparation and review, Withholding Tax (WHT) applicability assessment, calculations and filings, Corporate Income Tax (CIT) return preparation, Transfer Pricing compliance monitoring, and other local tax filings and statutory requirements, as applicable.
- Extract, analyze, and validate tax reports and data from SAP/ERP systems, perform reasonableness checks, prepare and review tax workings, and ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns, tax payments, and related compliance activities.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of tax-related GL accounts, investigate variances, ensure accurate tax GL mapping, and complete clearing activities on a timely basis for assigned countries.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors, tax authorities, internal finance teams, and other stakeholders to resolve tax compliance and operational issues, support tax audits, and ensure timely closure of deliverables.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of business operations, transactions, ERP processes, and tax implications for countries under responsibility, while proactively identifying and addressing tax compliance risks, process gaps, and control weaknesses.
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement of tax processes across countries through preparation and maintenance of SOPs, process flows, work instructions, tax process documentation, and implementation of process improvement and automation initiatives.
Qualification for the role:
- CA / CMA (CWA) / CA Inter with 6-9 years of experience in direct and indirect tax compliance, including hands-on exposure to multiple tax jurisdictions across Asia (excluding India).
- Additional working knowledge and practical exposure to European tax regulations and compliance requirements will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of VAT/GST, Withholding Tax (WHT), Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Transfer Pricing compliance, and other local statutory tax requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end tax compliance activities, including tax return preparation, filings, tax payments, reconciliations, and audit support.
- Hands-on experience working with SAP and other ERP systems, including extraction, analysis, validation, and reconciliation of tax and financial data.
- Strong understanding of tax-related GL accounts, tax mappings, accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
- Experience managing tax compliance activities across multiple countries, preferably within Asian and European jurisdictions.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with external tax advisors, auditors, tax authorities, finance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders in a global environment.
- Demonstrated capability to identify tax risks, strengthen controls, drive process standardization, and implement process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced multinational environment.
