As a Tax Senior, you work closely with our clients to gather information, develop solutions to tax matters, clearly communicate any discrepancies, and provide a high level of service. You work with a collaborative team to bounce ideas around, find solutions, and work towards client engagement completion deadlines. Clark Nuber allows sufficient time for training and mentoring, whether it is you mentoring associates or someone mentoring you to develop your knowledge base.
You’ll work alongside passionate colleagues to design and execute comprehensive tax strategies for real estate clients, not-for-profits, commercial clients, and/or high-net-worth individuals and their affiliated entities. You’ll play a key role in advising clients on ways to optimize their family wealth and business success, providing meaningful insights that make a lasting impact.

A Tax Senior will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university, a licensed CPA, and at least 2-3 years of recent experience in tax. You must pass a credit check at any time to remain eligible for this position.
Some essential job functions of this job include but are not limited to:
-Manage the tax compliance process which includes staffing, gathering information, reviewing tax returns and work papers and delivering the tax return in accordance with pre-established budget and standards. Communicate regularly with managers and shareholders regarding the status of assigned engagements. Highlight technical issues identified during engagement to manager and/or shareholder.
-Review the work performed by associates on tax returns and work papers to ensure accuracy and compliance with professional and organizational standards, as well as codes and regulations. Provide feedback and technical assistance for issues that might arise. Ensure timelines are met.
-Communicate regularly with clients throughout the engagement to answer questions, obtain information, and discuss issues and progress. Assist clients with IRS examinations, appeals and other practice and procedure matters.
-Present in-house technical training for staff that supports organizational needs. Attend CPE courses for required professional development.
-Provide informal feedback to assigned associates during the engagement and formal, written feedback at the end of the engagement or during the annual review process, as appropriate.
This position can be 100% in the office or hybrid schedule, meaning you have to live in the greater Seattle area to work from the office each week.
Salary Range: $84,275 minimum to $126,412 maximum
