What you’ll be doing:
- Prepares complex and reviews individual, trust, corporate, partnership, and S-Corp returns requiring advanced expertise.
- Reviews accounting reviews using balance sheet approach, including making adjusting journal entries to complete trial balance for interim accounting or tax returns.
- Reviews and updates depreciation schedules for asset additions and dispositions, including identifying appropriate method and life and recording appropriate adjusting journal entries to record depreciation expense and record dispositions.
- Reviews accruals and other tax schedules as required for accounting review or any tax returns.
- Proactively assist managers on assigned client groups, including billing support and project management reporting.
- Train staff through formal trainings and on-the-job training.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. Master’s degree in taxation preferred.
- CPA Certification is a plus or working toward obtaining CPA license.
- Minimum 2-5 years tax experience in public accounting setting.
- Minimum 1-3 years managing client relationships.
