Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

 

  • Review of individual and business tax returns (Form 1040, 1065, 1120-S).

  • Preparation of complex individual and business tax returns (Form 1040, 1065, 1120-S)

  • Assist with tax planning and tax research projects.

  • Collaborate with the outsourced accounting services team for client accounting needs.

  • Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, questions, and planning opportunities.

  • Collaborate with firm leadership to provide exceptional client service and ensure successful engagement delivery.

  • Grow into a broader client relationship management role over time.

     

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field 

  • Bachelor's degree with a preferred field of study in Accounting 

  • CPA eligible

  • 2+ years' or relevant work and industry experience

  • Software Experience - CCH Axcess Tax, Microsoft Office 365

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred
  • 2 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • CPA candidates preferred
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field
  • 2 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • CPA eligible / CPA candidate
  • Experience with CCH Axcess Tax
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize multiple assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Ability to travel based on client and business needs
