SUMMARY
Allworth Financial is looking for an experienced Associate Tax Advisor to join its Tax Services team. This entry to intermediate level position will work closely with Client Service and Tax Advisors to provide client services such as federal and state tax preparation, tax projections and analysis. We are looking for someone who can work independently yet successfully with a team. This position requires a positive and gracious attitude toward yourself, your team, and our clients while keeping the best interest of the client in mind.
This is a full-time, seasonal position that will report into the Vancouver, WA office. The position has the potential for continuation of employment as a regular full-time employee.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare individual tax returns (1040s and associated schedules)
- communicate with client to facilitate accurate tax return preparation
- respond to client inquiries regarding tax matters
- overtime is expected February- April including extended hours during the week and additional weekend hours
- assisting staff and clients as needed
- coordinating client data between tax program and database program
- other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Accounting degree (2 or 4 year) or Enrolled Agent (EA)- helpful but not required
- 2-5 years individual tax preparation experience, preferred
- Strong Excel and other software skills
- LACERTE tax software experience, preferred but not required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and client service skills
- high level of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, clients and tight deadlines
