As a Tax Operations Analyst in the Tax Operations team within Asset and Wealth Management, you reconcile the banking system with tax systems to support tax reporting across multiple markets. You review transaction activity for tax withholding, remittances, and reporting outputs while partnering with upstream teams to resolve breaks and improve data quality. You apply strong analytical judgment and clear communication to meet timeliness and accuracy standards as tax requirements evolve.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reconcile the banking system with tax systems to support preparation and review of tax reports and gain/loss statements with limited supervision.
- Review transaction feeds across product and security types to validate tax withholding and remittances for markets including the United States, Belgium, Germany, and Sweden.
- Produce tax reporting outputs for markets including the United Kingdom, Indonesia, France, and Germany.
- Liaise with upstream operations teams to confirm transaction linkages, investigate breaks, and coordinate corrections.
- Interpret corporate events and fund-related movements and apply the impacts within tax systems.
- Monitor service level standards by tracking timeliness and accuracy of deliverables.
- Analyze transactional activity from a tax implications perspective and escalate risks and breaks as appropriate.
- Implement operational changes needed to support new or updated tax laws within defined procedures and controls.
- Maintain key performance indicators, standard operating procedures, and management information reporting to support day-to-day execution.
- Document recurring issues, root causes, and fixes to improve process clarity and reduce repeat breaks.
