Your contributions will be key to driving improvement and success in the Finance area of our Business Service Operations (BSO) for China & APAC region, with a special focus on India, Korea, Japan and Australia.

Core Responsibilities:
Review end to end indirect tax processes for the region.
Monitor regional performance of the controls and emerging risks related to indirect tax and performing escalations and investigations as required.
Collaborate with global stakeholders to facilitate the improvement or transition of indirect tax related processes
Responsible for facilitating all kinds of reporting for indirect taxes to identify best practices in collaboration with the Global Tax team.
Regional driver of indirect tax engagements, day to day relationship management with third party service providers and collaboration with internal team members to enhance processes and clearly define roles and responsibilities.

Compliance Service consists of the Legal & Tax Operations teams operating within the LEGO Business Service Operations (BSO) organization.
Within BSO Compliance, the Tax Operarion team is responsible for meeting the global tax and statutory compliance. The department balances a mix of internal resources and third parties to efficiently meet global compliance requirements.
The department focuses on transparent and accurate status reporting, maintaining a strong internal control framework, leveraging technology and standard processes to meet its operational targets and satisfy stakeholders.
The role will require a self-starter mentality and a progressive drive to bring in new processes into the Tax Operation department. The performance is determined not only on the stated objectives but on the collaboration and service management provided to stakeholders. Also, the role is encouraged to bring innovative ideas and challenge existing practices to meet stakeholder needs.
Do you have what it takes?
Bachelor degree in finance or accounting with Certification in accounting or tax profession would be preferred
10+ years in Tax functions in MNC and global share service environment preferred, familiar with APAC countries regulations related to tax, accounting and other local rules with focusing on India, Korea, Japan and Australia
Utilizing Business Intelligence to standardize and enhance reporting capabilities and speed, perform data analysis and drive problem solving. Able to recommend improvements to data structures to enhance reporting capabilities.
Experience in global companies or those having global tax compliance requirements
Ability to collaborate globally, regionally and locally with internal stakeholders, global third-party service providers, and compliance bodies.
Experience in global process transitions demonstrated through shared service center experience or involvement in projects or process improvements
Fluency Enghlish communication
Nice to have:
SAP and Microsoft office experience
Willingness to collaborate globally
Willingness to travel international (within APAC) when business needs
