The Role

Description
The Tax Manager is responsible for the assessment and review of the Company's transactions as it relates to all forms of tax compliance as well as accounting for income taxes under US GAAP. The ideal candidate typically possesses a combination of strong technical tax knowledge, leadership skills, significant experience in tax provisions, tax compliance, and successfully managed complex tax projects.
Job Responsibilities

  • Manage (review) the preparation and completion of accurate and timely quarterly and year-end income tax provisions in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data for tax provision calculations.
  • Provide guidance on tax provision matters and assist in decision-making processes.
  • Assist in managing US sales and use tax compliance in collaboration with internal tax team and external tax advisors.
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable US state and local income tax laws and regulations.
  • Support oversight of international subsidiaries from both US and local tax perspectives.
  • Aid in overseeing the transfer pricing reporting, maintaining intercompany agreements.
  • Provide assistance with tax-related tasks for mergers and acquisitions, including tax due diligence and post-acquisition tax integrations/structuring.
  • Review tax related account reconciliations, analyzing fluctuations for assigned accounts to identify unusual trends or activity.
  • Monitor changes in US GAAP, local GAAP, global income tax laws, and business updates that would impact income tax accounting, tax filing requirements, tax methods, tax positions, tax risks, tax payments, or tax liabilities
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and implement strategies to minimize state and local tax liabilities while maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of products, services and markets and monitor transactions to identify potential areas of tax risk or opportunity.
  • Identify potential areas of risk or opportunity for International Indirect and payroll taxes and work with cross-functional teams to implement recommendations.
  • Support special projects and initiatives


What You Bring To The Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA and/or Masters in Tax is preferred.
  • 10 + years of experience in income tax provision, income tax compliance, and international taxation in either public accounting and/or public/private company tax experience.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions tax due diligence and post-acquisition integration/structuring.

Salary
The annual starting salary for this position is between 110k-125k depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
