As the Tax Manager for North America Tax Operations, you will lead U.S. and Canadian corporate tax compliance, ASC 740 tax accounting, and reporting workflows for a leading global industrial manufacturer. In this high-visibility hybrid role based at our Irving, TX headquarters, you will partner directly with tax leadership and mentor an evolving North American team. You will ensure accurate consolidated filings, optimize tax processes, and support strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of U.S. federal consolidated Form 1120 filings, state income and franchise returns, extensions, and quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Prepare and review quarterly and year-end ASC 740 income tax provision calculations, including return-to-provision adjustments, deferred taxes, and uncertain tax positions.
- Supervise and review Canadian corporate income tax compliance workflows completed by external partner firms.
- Oversee tax information reporting and documentation, including 1099 reporting, W-8/W-9 validation, FATCA forms, and state annual reports.
- Assist with IRS Compliance Assurance Process (CAP) documentation, state income tax audits, and tax notice resolutions.
- Direct and mentor an Irving-based team while collaborating with groups across the finance department.
- Lead tax technology and process improvement initiatives utilizing CorpTax, SAP ERP, and SAP BPC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of federal corporate tax compliance (Form 1120) and ASC 740 tax provision experience within Big 4 accounting or a multinational corporate environment.
- Advanced hands-on proficiency with CorpTax compliance software.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, supervisory background, or a strong desire to mentor and develop accounting personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Master of Science in Taxation (MST).
- Prior background in Big 4 or top-tier national public accounting firms.
- Exposure to Canadian corporate income tax compliance or shared services center coordination.
