Job Description / Qualifications
Job Summary
Responsible for working with the Tax Directors, VP of Tax, and other members of the White Cap Tax Department team in completion of income tax accounting and tax return preparation functions of the company as well as other Tax Department areas of responsibility. Oversee federal, state, and foreign income tax matters for all businesses.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
•Participates in preparation and review and ensures completion of ASC 740 calculations on a quarterly basis.
•Participates in federal, state, foreign income tax return and workpaper preparation and review.
•Prepares and reviews extensions and estimated payment calculations.
•Performs technical research on tax technical items and documents positions for review by the VP of Tax.
•Participates in certain M&A integration functions.
•Identifies and communicates income tax issues and solutions to complex, time-critical, or recurring business matters
•Manages, oversees and participates in special projects as assigned, including tax planning and developing new processes.

Solutions require analysis and investigation.
Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
•Minimum of 5 years of progressive income tax experience required in a large corporate tax department.
•CPA and/or relevant Master’s degree required.
•Experience with OneSource Tax compliance and provision products a plus.
•Big 4 experience preferred.
•A flexible and results-oriented team player with a collaborative approach to providing tax solutions, process improvement and support to meet the company’s needs and objectives.
