Primary Function
As the Indirect Tax Manager for the EMEA region, you will be a key member of the global tax team supporting the company's compliance with tax regulations, optimizing our tax strategies, and supporting our financial operations. This position will work closely with the EMEA Tax Director and is ideal for a tax professional who is looking to utilize and develop broad skills in a fast-paced global manufacturing environment.
Specific Responsibilities
Supports the implementation of a new indirect tax compliance solution across EMEA which coincides with the roll-out of e-invoicing (and ViDA) requirements across the region.
Supports the e-invoicing and e-reporting mandates being rolled out throughout EMEA working with the Rehlko IT team to support the underlying financial systems for indirect tax reporting.
In-depth understanding of processes and controls over indirect tax return preparation and submission and providing support to ensure fully documented review processes and timely filings. Coordinates indirect tax compliance activities across the region to ensure timely and accurate VAT payments and reporting, in collaboration with local finance and accounting teams and external advisors.
Manages VAT compliance in the UK and collaborates with local finance and accounting teams and external advisors to centralize oversight of VAT compliance across the region.
Provides indirect tax advice with regards to new projects throughout the region, collaborating with external advisors to ensure compliance in each country.
· Assists in the management of indirect tax audits, responding to inquiries from tax authorities, and coordinating with local finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely resolution of tax issues across the region.
· Stays up to date with changes in local tax laws and regulations, evaluates their impact on the company, and assists with the development and implementation of tax policies and guidelines.
· Collaborates regularly with cross-functional teams, including accounting, treasury, and legal, to assist with tax issues and ensure alignment with the company’s financial and operational objectives.
Education & Experience
Required
· Accounting and/or tax qualifications
· 5+ years of relevant tax experience in a multinational company and/or public accounting firm.
Ability to communicate complex tax concepts effectively to non-tax professionals.
Proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Strong people skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Preferred
· Preference will be given to candidates with ACA, CTA, or equivalent professional designation.
· VAT experience working in the manufacturing industry.
· Language skills in French and/or Italian are a plus.
· Experience of Vertex, Ecosio, SAP, QAD and Microsoft Dynamics would be beneficial
