Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Tax Intern to assist with the preparation of individual and business tax returns and support our tax team during tax season. This internship offers hands-on experience in a public accounting setting and exposure to real client work.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065)
Organize and review client tax documents and workpapers
Enter data into tax software accurately and efficiently
Perform basic tax research as needed
Assist with bookkeeping and reconciliations when necessary
Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to firm procedures
Provide general administrative support to the tax team
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or a related field
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Basic knowledge of federal and state taxation preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Prior tax or accounting experience is a plus, but not required
