Neogen Corporation is seeking a Summer Tax Intern to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to key automation and compliance initiatives that support the Tax Department during its Global Year-end close process. This internship offers hands-on experience with enterprise-level systems, exposure to global tax operations, and a chance to apply your coursework in a corporate environment.

This is a full-time, paid summer internship position with a 12-week duration.
Location: Lansing, MI (hybrid based on team need)
Start Date: Flexible (preferred early to mid-May)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with large-scale data and automation projects involving SAP S4 HANA, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, and Avalara

  • Support maintenance of sales tax exemption certificates

  • Contribute to routine sales and use tax compliance filings

  • Assist with processing intercompany price change requests

  • Support preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Help maintain fixed asset records for tax purposes

  • Document end-to-end tax and finance business processes and standard operating procedures

Education and Experience:

  • Junior or Senior pursuing a 4-year degree in Accounting (preferred)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with business software

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

  • Interest in tax, accounting systems, or data analytics
