As a Tax Innovation & Delivery Experience - Data Engineering - Director, you will lead the design and development of advanced data solutions, transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business growth. Within our Tax practice, you will play a pivotal role in shaping client engagements and mentoring future leaders. Your strategic leadership will be instrumental in fostering environments where people and technology thrive together, while upholding our reputation for quality and integrity.
As a Director, you will set the strategic direction and lead business development efforts, making impactful decisions and overseeing multiple projects. You are expected to be a guardian of our reputation, understanding that quality, integrity, inclusion, and a commercial mindset are foundational to our success. You will cultivate potential in others and actively collaborate across the PwC Network, leveraging our collective strength to maximize client satisfaction.
In this role, you will focus on designing and building data infrastructure and systems to enable efficient data processing and analysis. You will be responsible for developing and implementing data pipelines, data integration, and data transformation solutions, driving continuous adaptation to emerging technologies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Leading the design and development of data infrastructure and systems to facilitate efficient data processing and analysis
- Overseeing the implementation of data pipelines, integration, and transformation solutions to support client needs
- Utilizing advanced technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Airflow, and Azure Data Factory to enhance data engineering processes
- Driving business growth by transforming raw data into actionable insights for informed decision-making
- Mentoring and guiding teams in developing innovative data solutions and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborating with executive-level clients to understand their data requirements and deliver tailored solutions
- Promoting the use of cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure Databricks for scalable data solutions
- Confirming data quality, security, and compliance within data engineering frameworks
- Identifying market opportunities and converting them into successful data-driven strategies for the firm
- Encouraging creativity and systemic thinking to solve complex data challenges and drive technological advancements
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 8 years of experience

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics
- Leading strategic data engineering initiatives in client-facing environments
- Utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure for data solutions
- Developing innovative data architecture and integration strategies

The salary range for this position is: $150,000 - $438,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
