Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare federal and state corporate, individual, and partnership returns
- Research tax issues
- Reconciliation of book to tax income
- Analyze depreciation methods
- Assist in tax planning and projections
- Accept and respond to engagement feedback
- Working beyond standard job hours is expected during busy season
Qualifications:
- BA/BS/MS in Accounting or similar field; high school degree required
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam with 150 credits
- Ability to learn quickly and apply learned concepts to new situations
- Ability to travel to clients if needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management, organizational, and analytical abilities
- Ability to balance multiple projects at once
- Work well under pressure and with a team; ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment; Marcum LLP will not provide employment sponsorship for this position
