The tax coordinator will work to support the tax department head in facilitating and leading the growth of the various offices in the region. A strong knowledge of the tax process and team environment is preferred to properly facilitate scheduling needs across the region. The tax coordinator must have the ability to pivot and prioritize requests in a fast-paced environment. This often means juggling competing demands from different stakeholders and keeping everyone informed about progress on their respective projects.JOB DESCRIPTION
Scheduling Management:
Update daily schedules in scheduling software
Lead weekly regional scheduling meetings with staff and managers
Oversee busy season scheduling to ensure smooth operations
Manage the return workload for all colleagues
Outsourced Staff & Shared Resources Team Coordination:
Manage daily schedules for outsourced staff
Promote and expand the utilization of outsourced services across the region
Track staff utilization and realization metrics
Coordinate training and development programs for the outsourced and shared resources teams
Department Activity Coordination:
Conduct weekly reports to showcase the movement of returns and associated utilized hours
Organize department meetings
Plan and facilitate welcome happy hours and team-building activities
Manage internship activities, including lunches and other events
Coordinate the annual department retreat
Training & Development:
Develop the full workflow and written materials on what happens from a return start to finish
Coordinate onboarding training and activities for new hires
Plan and manage national tax training sessions

Required education and experience
High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate
1 – 2 year(s) of public accounting experience or supporting a professional services firm
