Fixed Term (Fixed Term)We are seeking an experienced Tax Controller to ensure our organization’s full compliance with tax regulations, proactively drive improvements in tax processes and controls, and mitigate tax-related risks. This role is essential for keeping our tax practices current with the latest regulatory changes, safeguarding our financial integrity, and supporting strategic decision-making.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Tax Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of all local tax returns, including VAT, FCT, CIT, Business License Tax, Transfer Pricing, Global Minimum Tax
- Manage the VAT refund process, including documentation preparation and coordination with tax authorities.
- Lead and coordinate tax audits, providing required documentation and effective responses to tax authorities.
- Maintain strong relationships with external tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
- Perform regular tax reconciliations, promptly resolving any discrepancies.
- Oversee the preparation of tax-related disclosures for financial statements and group reports.
Tax Process & Control Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance tax compliance controls and process efficiency.
- Implement and maintain up-to-date tax processes and controls within the company’s systems.
- Develop and maintain effective tax reporting, documentation, and record-keeping practices.
Tax Planning & Advisory
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact and updating internal processes accordingly.
- Advise senior management on tax matters, risks, and optimization opportunities.
- Review and advise on internal documents, including contracts and policies.
- Provide guidance and training to business teams on tax compliance and best practices.
Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Transactions
- Develop and manage transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance with local and group requirements.
- Oversee the documentation of intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and arm’s length pricing.
Adhoc Support
- Support special projects and assignments related to tax compliance and process improvement as required.
Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline;
- Experience in Big 4 firms, technology sectors is advantageous.
- At least 8 years of experience in tax management, with a strong focus on corporate tax.
- Comprehensive understanding of local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with VAT refund processes and tax audit procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- High integrity and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in English and Vietnamese.
