Job DescriptionTax Compliance
- Collaborate in the preparation and timely submission of all tax filing obligations while adhering to regulatory requirements
- Assist in addressing tax authority queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Prepare and file all required Mexican tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other local taxes
- Maintain accurate working papers and documentation in accordance with department policy and tax authority requirements
- Manage the SAT portal, submit DIOT applications, obtain tax certificates, and draft or interpret tax opinions
Reporting and Analysis
- Perform reconciliations of tax accounts, addressing discrepancies and providing accurate reports to stakeholders
- Assist with tax pack preparation and submission
- Prepare and ensure Internal Controls (RACM) are applied with evidential support stored as required
Compliance & Audit Support
- Assist in tax audits and inquiries from Mexican tax authorities, including preparation of responses, documentation, and communication
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and legal, to provide tax guidance and support
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners
Required Qualifications
Education & Professional Credentials
- Recognized professional qualification in Tax and Accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field
Experience
- 3 years of relevant tax compliance and accounting experience
- Demonstrable success in improving tax and compliance service levels
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of all tax and compliance processes including best practice
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience managing the SAT portal, submitting DIOT applications, obtaining tax certificates
- Experience preparing tax account reconciliations
Language Requirements
- Advanced English level - able to participate to manage the language
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Oracle system
- Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
