About the Opportunity
The objective of the position is to participate in Mexican tax compliance for Driscolls Mexican entities.
Calculations on income tax, VAT and withholdings, prepare filings to tax authorities, informative tax returns, and assemble and organize materials and analyses for responses to inquiries from Tax Authorities in connection with monthly reviews and full audits.
In addition, the Tax Analyst will maintain VAT account reconciliations and will participate as a user in the implementation of Oracle software and specialized tax software (e.g., OneSource, Edicom, Sovos).
Responsibilities
- Cash Flow Workpapers: Create and analyze the cashflow workpaper that supports monthly tax VAT and withholdings calculations and VAT in favor refund request.
- VAT accounts reconciliation: Collect, analyze, reconcile, and send proposed adjustments if needed to ensure GL VAT accounts reconciliation reflect the current VAT position of the company.
- CFDI reconciliation: Collect, analyze, reconcile CFDI information between accounting records (DAX) vs tax authorities’ platform. Notify of any discrepancies for corrections to the proper areas (AR, Payroll) .
- Support and answer request from Tax Authorities: Support and help create the workpapers for answer tax authorities’ inquiries on VAT refund request.
- Audits: Support TA audits, request of information and inquiries.
Candidate Profile
- Academic Degree: Bachelor’s degree Accounting
- Professional experience on the functional area: Tax, Accounting
- Areas of experience: Tax, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Administration
- English Intermediate
- Excel
