Job Description:
insightsoftware is looking for a bright, highly motivated Tax Analyst to join our global Tax team. You don't need to be a tax expert yet - if you learn fast, work efficiently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you. This role provides real value to the business: helping keep our effective tax rate low, strengthening our cash position, maintaining accurate tax reporting, advising business units on tax matters, and supporting tax audits and planning initiatives.
We'll invest in your growth. You'll learn directly from experienced members of the Tax team and take on more responsibility as your knowledge builds.
What You'll Do
Assist in preparing and filing tax returns (income, VAT, sales and use, property, and more) accurately and on time.
Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.
Gather and analyze documentation for tax audits, and work directly with tax auditors.
Research, resolve, and respond to tax notices.
Maintain the company's tax compliance calendar so every filing and audit deadline is met on time.
Contribute to internal control documentation and procedures.
Support initiatives that reduce direct and indirect taxes, working closely with local teams and tax advisors alongside the Tax team.
What You'll Bring
A genuine interest in tax, accounting, or business, and the drive to build deep expertise quickly.
A degree or certificate in accounting, tax, finance, or a related field.
Comfort working across a modern data stack - AI tools, tax and accounting software, and Excel - to reconcile and manage large data sets.
The curiosity and aptitude to research, interpret, and apply tax regulations across multiple states and jurisdictions - we'll help you get there.
Strong time-management skills and the ability to stay organized when priorities move fast.
Nice to Have
Prior tax or accounting experience. It's a plus, not a requirement - we care more about your motivation and how quickly you learn.
The salary range in United States of America for this position is 59,000.00 to 74,000.00 USD Annual.
For sales roles, this range includes the commission target. For non-sales roles, this is a base salary only range; additional bonus eligibility may apply.
Your specific offer within this range will be determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications.
We are committed to pay transparency and fair compensation practices. If you have questions about our compensation approach, please don't hesitate to ask during the interview process.
Additional Information
All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
