Job Description

ITW is seeking a Tax Analyst to join its tax department. The role will focus primarily on US tax compliance for federal and state. The Tax Analyst will develop a broad base of tax knowledge and leadership skills that will support advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare state income tax returns.
• Assist with audits and state notices.
• Prepare workpapers, calculations, and 1120 proformas for the consolidated US federal income tax return.
• Assist quarterly with domestic tax provision, federal, and state estimated payments.
• Perform tax technical research and write memos.
• Collaborate with various corporate departments and business units to ensure accurate reporting on tax returns.
• Participate in special projects, tax rotations, and supervising interns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. MST, MSA, or CPA is a plus.
• Experience in tax or accounting.
• Research, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office. CorpTax or HFM a plus.
