Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Tax & Accounting Specialist who will be joining our Greek business, assisting the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, preparing taxes, and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.
Reporting to Accounting Manager Greece, you will be responsible to undertake tasks such as:

• Responsible for assigned activities regarding statutory accounting and reporting in the area of general ledger and tax
• Responsible for assigned streams in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Perform monthly Balance sheet Review and Fluctuation Analysis and advise with professional expertise on changes / improvements where needed
• Calculate monthly Current/Deferred Tax and submit Tax schedules
• Cooperate with external auditors on financial reports and accounting statements
• Assisting line manager in the preparation of yearly transfer pricing file
• Ensure compliance to group policies, local reporting standards, tax regulations and Internal Control Framework
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all accounting and tax-related matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Treasury, and Finance) to support business operations and compliance

For this role as an Tax & Accounting Specialist Greece, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Post-graduate degree is preferred.
• 3-4 years of Accounting/Finance experience
• Accurate, flexible thinking, analytical skills
• Team spirit, result and solution oriented
• Experienced in ensuring tax and accounting compliance
• In-depth knowledge of Local GAAP, tax and accounting practices
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is desirable
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Excellent command both of English and Greek
