The role:
As a Tax Accountant at Bentleys Queensland you’ll work alongside a highly seasoned tax partner, you'll be an integral part of a team of dedicated professionals delivering expert tax advisory services and comprehensive accounting solutions to a diverse portfolio of external clients. This includes ASX listed corporations, SME private businesses, and high net worth individuals.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with our experienced tax partner to provide specialist tax advisory services, including tax consolidation, and general accounting support to a range of clients.
- Engage in tax planning, compliance, advisory activities, and tax consolidation, ensuring clients maximize their tax efficiencies while remaining fully compliant with Australian tax laws.
- Contribute actively to the preparation and review of tax effect accounting and tax consolidation, offering insightful analysis and strategic recommendations to enhance financial outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored tax advice and solutions aligned with their business objectives and personal financial goals.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities, staying updated on evolving tax legislation and industry trends to provide informed guidance.
About you:
We are seeking a accountant with a robust background in tax-related work and a passion for advancing in this dynamic field. The ideal candidate will possess:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience within a reputable firm, handling various tax-related matters for diverse clientele.
- Proficiency in tax effect accounting, demonstrating a strong understanding of its principles and applications.
- CA qualification or near completion, showcasing a commitment to professional excellence and ongoing learning.
- Meticulous attention to detail and an innate ability to navigate complex tax regulations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, ready to tackle new challenges and adapt to evolving client needs.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to mentor and support junior staff members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
