The role of Tax Accountant is to ensure compliance with its various tax obligations and to assist in developing a comprehensive tax strategy.

Responsibilities
- Prepare the Yearly, Quarterly, and monthly filings for Sales and Use tax returns.
- Prepare the Yearly, Quarterly and Monthly filings of tangible and intangible property return.
- Assist in reviewing tax exempt certificates, tax audits, tax notices
- Work with outsource tax partner ensure all deadlines including annual reporting are met.
- Prepared property tax filings
- Reconciling income tax accounts and ensure the correct booking of tax payments, provisions, credits, etc. on the balance sheet and P&L
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Work on special projects
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred but not required
- 3+ years of related experience
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of state and local reporting and tax requirements in a holding company environment.
- Excellent tax accounting and analytical skills.
- Highly Functional in Office (Advanced Excel Skills a must).
- Exposure to tax software such as Avalara
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of related experience
