Academic Req: Required - Bachelor’s degree in the following areas:  social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, public administration, or closely related field of study. Master’s degree in one of the following areas preferred.
Work Experience:   Required – Project management experience that includes collecting and reporting data, scheduling regular meetings, and developing procedures.  Experience with victims of human trafficking, sexual abuse and neglect, domestic violence or individuals experiencing homelessness and/or addiction. Requires three years working directly with victims or law enforcement.  
Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills is a must. Knowledge of a victim-centered, trauma informed approach to interacting with victims.  Administrative knowledge of and/or experience with federal grants, partnership development, protocol development, program development, quality assurance and evaluation is required. Bilingual strongly preferred. 
 

Summary:    The Task Force Coordinator is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to facilitate a collaborative task force mission. The task force coordinator will work across government agencies, law enforcement, the non-profit sector and community organizations to organize tasks for meetings, assist with task force projects, and maintain task force materials while ensuring a victim-centered and trauma informed approached is used toward victims/survivors of sex and labor human trafficking.
 

Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
1.    Organize monthly law enforcement general member task force, victim services general member task force and core leadership meetings ensuring all lead Task Force signatories have their priorities included on the agenda
2.    Engage and facilitate new task force partnerships, including law enforcement, victim services and other direct service providers
3.    Primary point of contact for grant operations and management
4.    Facilitate the revision and expansion of Care Coordination protocols, as needed, in partnership with providers across the 12-county service area
5.    Formalize Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs)
6.    Work in partnership with task force leadership to address gaps in existing services and opportunities to enhance the quality of services to victims/survivors of human trafficking (sex and labor) as identified by partner agencies 
7.    Distribute task force progress reports to funder and other partners upon request 
8.    Assist with producing a summary report by the end of Year 2 describing the task force’s efforts on labor trafficking, as required
9.    Coordinate with victim services regarding a plan of action for law enforcement operations
10.    Provide technical assistance and peer-to-peer support, in collaboration with task force leadership, to task force partner agencies, and existing and newer task forces upon request
11.    Promote public awareness and recognition of human trafficking, including outreach and funder-approved training, on behalf of the task force for professionals and community organizations to expand task force membership, upon request and as appropriate
12.    Maintain task force data on meetings, membership agencies, contact lists, trainings, and other relevant performance measurement data on behalf of the task force
13.    Assist grant fiscal agents (victim services and law enforcement) with other relevant performance measurement data, upon request, and led by the grant fiscal agents
14.    Assist in overall maintenance of the task force website and social media platforms, as approved and appropriate
15.    Participate in community meetings and actively engage and communicate with stakeholders as 
16.    Participate in workshops, seminars, education programs and other activities that promote professional growth and development
17.    Compile, prepare, submit, and maintain accurate records, files, forms, statistics, and additional information in accordance with agency policies, licensing and/or contract requirements
18.    Maintain confidentiality in all areas of task force operations, criminal cases, and the service  population, ensuring HIPPA compliance
19.    Maintain BCFS HHS professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in BCFS HHS employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times
20.    Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Human Trafficking Interdiction policies and procedures 

Essential Functions: 
 1.    Provide task force management and development
2.    Coordinate referrals for task force
3.    Provide support to grant fiscal agents
4.    Act as a liaison with stakeholders, including legal providers, child protection, law enforcement, federal partners, and others, and ensure both program and local protocols are followed.
5.    Represent the task force by participating in community meetings 
6.    Participate in weekly staffing, or as needed, with supervisors
7.    Travel locally approximately 25 percent of the time 
8.    Meet all required deadlines to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
9.    Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor, including law enforcement operations
 

Requirements: 
1.    Demonstrate mastery of comprehensive safety, resiliency, and mental health assessment.
2.    Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens 
3.    Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request
4.    Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks
5.    Demonstrate the ability to:
a.    Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics
b.    Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English. Spanish communication is an asset
c.    Work in a fast-paced environment and always maintain emotional control and professional composure
d.    Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
e.    Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
f.    Adapt immediately to changes in the field
