Ingram Marine Group is seeking a shore Tankerperson or those interested in becoming a Tankerperson Trainee to join the CFS shore-based team in our Wyatt, MO location. You will be required to live within an hour's radius for consideration due to schedule.
This role offers a truly different kind of workday; one that isn’t spent in an office or at the same jobsite every day. As a Tankerperson, you’ll work on the river and be part of an active, hands-on operation that keeps critical products moving. What you will be doing:
- Ensuring safe crew, vessel, and tow operations through usage of Ingram’s and Custom Fuel safety systems, including audits, drills, investigation, safety contacts and safety log postings
- Managing fueling operations including but not limited to fuel, lube, slop and water transfers as well as all other aspects of CFS fueling and supply operations
- Assisting in inspection and maintenance of the boat, both externally and internally
- Providing navigation assistance as directed by the captain
- Assisting in carrying out barge inspections and maintenance
- Responsible for facility housekeeping and maintenance, supply requisitions and inventory control
- Assisting in the safe operation of forklift, crane, and any other equipment that is needed in the operations of Custom Fuel
- Ensuring efficient and safe fueling operations through compliance with all USCG, Custom Fuel Service and IBCO policies and procedures
- Maintaining necessary paperwork and/or document to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Responsible for personal hygiene and cleanliness
- Working safely and comply with all safety rules and work practices
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Leadperson experience highly preferred
- Able to safely operate aboard a vessel and perform necessary tasks within the safety guidelines
- Ability to respond quickly to unexpected circumstances and safety concerns
- Ability to identify and employ appropriate safety practices in order to manage risks
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills
Schedule:
10/5, 12 hour swing shift
This position is eligible for overtime
