About Emerald AI

We’re at a pivotal moment for AI and energy. Demand for compute is skyrocketing, but power constraints are becoming a critical bottleneck. Emerald AI sits at the intersection of these two worlds, enabling AI data centers to scale without overwhelming the grid.

Our Emerald Conductor software platform makes data centers flexible and responsive, allowing them to adjust power usage dynamically. This unlocks massive AI growth without major new infrastructure, while also strengthening the grid and supporting the expansion of renewable energy.

We’re a team of experts across AI, cloud, software, and energy—on a mission to scale AI sustainably. We’re backed by leading investors and partners including Radical Ventures and NVIDIA.

About the Role

We are looking for a Talent Partner to help build the team that will define the future of our company. This role will own full-cycle recruiting across critical functions, partnering closely with leaders to identify, attract, and close exceptional talent.

As an early member of the People & Talent team, you will operate as a strategic advisor and hands-on recruiter — shaping hiring strategies, building scalable recruiting processes, and creating an exceptional candidate experience. You will have the opportunity to influence how we scale our organization, strengthen our employer brand, and build the foundations of a world-class talent function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with hiring managers and executives to understand business priorities, define talent needs, and build effective hiring strategies.

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for technical, product, business, and operational roles — from sourcing through offer close.

  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to identify and engage exceptional candidates in competitive talent markets.

  • Build strong candidate pipelines through research, networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring teams on role definition, market insights, compensation expectations, and closing strategies.

  • Drive a high-quality candidate experience through thoughtful communication, efficient processes, and strong candidate engagement.

  • Manage recruiting processes and continuously improve interview workflows, assessment practices, and hiring metrics.

  • Analyze recruiting data and market trends to identify opportunities for improving hiring effectiveness.

Minimum requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or talent advisory roles, preferably in high-growth technology companies.

  • Demonstrated success recruiting high-caliber candidates in competitive markets.

  • Experience owning searches end-to-end, including sourcing, interviewing, stakeholder management, and closing.

  • Strong ability to build trusted relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence hiring decisions and navigate ambiguity.

  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and operational discipline.

  • Passion for building teams and creating an exceptional employee experience.

Preferred requirements
  • Experience scaling a startup from early stage through rapid growth.

  • Experience recruiting for specialized technical or emerging technology domains.

  • Experience building recruiting processes, tools, and operating rhythms.

  • Familiarity with compensation benchmarking and talent market intelligence.

  • Experience partnering with executive leadership on strategic hiring initiatives.

What We Offer
  • Make an impact. Solve the AI power bottleneck and shape how data centers scale sustainably.

  • Join a world-class team of AI, cloud, software, and energy experts in a collaborative, low-ego environment.

  • Build from 0→1. Influence strategy, GTM, org design, and customer/investor engagement from day one.

  • Competitive pay + equity. Stock options let you share in the value you help create.

  • Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.

  • Flexible location. Work from D.C., Boston, or the Bay Area, with 2 WFH day/week.

  • Backed by top investors, including Radical Ventures and NVIDIA.

What We Do

Emerald AI transforms energy-intensive data centers into AI-powered grid allies. The Emerald AI Conductor platform enables AI data centers to flexibly adjust their power consumption from the electricity grid on demand, orchestrating the computing loads of inference, training, and fine-tuning AI models across a network of data centers to bolster the power grid’s reliability while meeting strict compute performance standards. Flexibility could unlock up to 100 GW, or more than a decade of U.S. AI data center growth and trillions in AI investment, without enormous investments in electric grids or power plants—advancing innovation and competitiveness, ensuring power affordability for communities across the country, and bolstering the reliability of the electric power system.
