Job Summary
The Specialist, Talent Acquisition drives full cycle recruiting with a consultative, data- informed approach while managing the candidate experience throughout the process. This role partners closely with the hiring leaders and HR business partners to attract, assess, and secure top talent while enhancing the overall candidate and hiring manager experience. The Specialist, Talent Acquisition serves as a talent advisor, workforce strategist and ambassador of Nordson’s Employee Value Proposition.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer the full recruitment life cycle for relevant position openings in a consultative manner. This includes:
- Partnering with hiring manager to understand business objectives, workforce planning needs and ideal candidate profiles.
- Coordinating the posting, advertising and screening of applications/resumes
- Providing market insights, competitive intelligence, and recruitment strategies to ensure timely and high- quality hires
- Facilitating intake meetings and establish clear recruitment plans for each requisition
- Conducting pre-screening interviews as appropriate, scheduling and participating in on-site interviews as required
- Sourcing, screening, and evaluating candidates for organizational fit and future potential
- Leveraging multiple sourcing channels including social platforms, referrals, networking, professional associations and community partnerships
- Leading candidate review discussions and guide hiring teams toward efficient selection decisions
- Preparing and assisting with the delivery of competitive offer packages in partnership with HR and leadership
- Completing pre-employment testing (drug/background) and reference checks
- Ensuring positive, engaging, and responsive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Build and maintain strong pipelines of active and passive candidates
- Analyze hiring trends and data to improve to improve diversity outreach and sourcing effectiveness
- Manage Workday applicant tracking system to maintain accurate, compliant, and timely documentation
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and leverage technology to increase efficiency
- Track and report on key recruitment metrics
- Support broader HR initiatives and workforce projects as needed
Education and Experience Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recruitment full life cycle experience
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment technologies
- Knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
- Ability to work onsite in Westlake a couple times per month
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related degree preferred
- Experience using Workday
- Experience recruiting in non-production in the manufacturing or medical technology industry
