ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Takeda based in Mexico City, you will deliver specialized Talent Acquisition support to global business units and markets within the Americas region (Canada and US primarily) by conducting initial screening interviews with candidates. You'll play a key role in shaping the candidate experience from the very first interaction with prospective candidates and internal employees. You will play a key part in evaluating their qualifications, interest, and alignment with our company culture before referring them to the hiring leader or talent acquisition partner. As part of the global TA team, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, providing the opportunity for global exposure and a broader experience. You will report to the Lead of Talent Acquisition for the LATAM region.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates
- Conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess candidate experience, skills, interest, and fit for open roles
- Coordinate with recruiters and hiring managers to understand job requirements
- Maintain accurate and organized candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Communicate professionally and promptly with candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Provide feedback and recommendations to the recruiting team and hiring managers based on screening interviews
- Effectively communicate Takeda's Employee Value Proposition (EVP) by building strong rapport, maintaining continuous engagement, and guiding candidates through a positive and personalized recruitment experience.
- Utilize innovative technologies and available tools to streamline recruitment workflows, enhance efficiency, and deliver a high-quality hiring process.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in recruiting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable speaking with a wide range of professionals over phone/video
- Strong communication skills (English/Spanish) with business proficiency in English language is essential
- Experience in ATS and TA tools; experience with Workday Recruiting strongly preferred
- Microsoft Office suite skills (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail; ability to multitask and handle a large volume of tasks
- Proficient with or ability to learn HR databases, applicant tracking software (Workday) or other recruitment systems & candidate management systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience recruiting in pharma/biotech/life sciences
- Familiarity with AI tools for sourcing/screening
- Regional hiring experience (US & Canada)
