Position Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in identifying, attracting, and onboarding top-tier talent for West Cancer Center in a competitive labor market. This position is responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing and screening candidates to extending offers and coordinating onboarding logistics. The ideal candidate will work with a strong sense of urgency, maintain excellent relationships with internal and external partners, and serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers across the organization.
No nights, weekends, or holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to identify recruitment needs and develop effective sourcing strategies
- Proactively recruit and refer qualified candidates for open positions
- Conduct candidate screenings and coordinate interview logistics
- Extend job offers and initiate onboarding for new hires
- Counsel current and prospective employees on employment procedures and career opportunities
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-need and future positions
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR databases for recruitment and compliance tracking
- Prepare and present recruitment-related reports and metrics
- Ensure all recruiting efforts align with HR policies and employment laws
- Provide input on departmental improvements and support budgetary planning
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of recruitment experience utilizing an applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Healthcare or hospital experience preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Deep understanding of clinical and non-clinical recruitment practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems
- Energetic and people-oriented with a commitment to excellent service
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
