The Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be involved in working with specific departments of the Bank in coordinating their recruitment and talent acquisition efforts to attract, develop, and retain high performing employees to meet talent needs and diversity initiatives. Maintains related candidate pipelines/database in ADP or another Recruiting module. Responsible for creating and maintaining various reports. partners with managers to provide guidance on matters related to employee relations, coaching and disciplinary processes and issue resolution. In addition, this position will also provide support to employees, Managers and also perform other HR administrative duties

This position requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment, within the scope of the individual's authority, with respect to matters of significance to the Bank.

  • Responsible for full life cycle recruiting, which includes but not limited to making decisions on:
  • Ensures high level/professional knowledge of departments within the bank to fully understand recruiting needs when positions become available. Ex. Difference between lines of business (types of clients, portfolio size, assets size, etc.: goals, incentives, total compensation, benefits, culture, geographical market, etc. And be knowledgeable in the same aspects as it relates to other banks, in order to be able to use this information as an effective tool in recruiting.
  • Responsible for creating requisitions and initiating the posting process, regular follow -up with managers to understand their needs, soliciting feedback from managers, generating offers, and onboarding candidates in ADP.
  • Checking and proper documentation of hiring activities and pre-employment requirements
  • Networks through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, employment fairs and employee referrals to create contacts and a pipeline within the industry. Develops a pool of qualified candidates for current requisitions and in anticipation of future needs while ensuring a diverse pipeline of talent.
  • Advises/coach's managers on compliance and an understanding of HR policies, labor laws/regulations, bank procedures, and best practices as it relates to recruiting, candidates,
  • Explains the employment process to external (and internal) applicants and administers pre-employment evaluations as position requires.
  • Coordinates and implements recruiting initiatives by working and establishing rapport with hiring managers and headhunters. Conducts regular follow-up with managers and headhunters to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plan s and implementation
  • Researches and recommends new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment. Uses professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
  • Keeps abreast of current labor market to evaluate trends and determine the impact on hiring and ensures recruitment practices are cost efficient. Inclusive of conducting salary analysis.
  • Works with HR executives in maintaining Recruiting Pipeline report and reviews with HR Managers.
  • Communicates status of open position to managers on a weekly basis either through the Recruiting pipeline report or emails (distribute to Managers on a weekly basis.)
  • Partners with managers to provide guidance and written documentation on matters related to employee relations: coaching and disciplinary processes and issue resolution.
  • Processing background checks, consumer reports, references as needed.
  • Time management skills and multitasking ability.
  • Update all pertinent information in our applicant tracking system. Includes but not limited to seeking approval to recruit and hire, opening requisitions, cross-postings jobs, ensuring all in formation is accurately recorded in the applicant's record and requisition and closing and coding the applicants records once the position is closed.
  • Works with related HR, and other departments to ensure a smooth on and off boarding process. Ensures that all actions and processes are completed in the required time frame. Ensures that the Managers and other applicable employees are provided with advance notice of upcoming new hires.
  • Ensures all required paperwork is fully completed according to department procedures including job applications, backgrounds, credit checks and references to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Proactively multi-tasks and performs Human Resource functions as needed maintaining strict confidentiality of all information.
  • Proactively works with other members of department with projects and special last-minute assignments.
  • Keeps abreast of and maintains compliance with Labor Law Regulations, Bank policy changes including the Human Resource policies, procedures and practices, departmental initiatives and strategies and brings to management attention frequent areas of concern.
  • Meets deadlines on all assigned responsibilities and projects.
  • Ability to understand, speak (fluently), read and write English and Spanish.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees.
  • Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position.
  • Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed).
  • Travel as required.
  • Provide coverage for other positions as requested.
  • Ability to carry and lift boxes and/or other objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
  • Hybrid role and any work from home arrangement may be revoked at any time. In addition, employees may be required to attend in person meetings/events when allowed to work from home.

Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business or related field (preferred).

SHRM-CP, PHR (Preferred)
