Purpose of the Job:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process to identify, attract, and hire qualified candidates who align with the company’s needs, culture, values, and priorities. This role partners with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements, develops creative sourcing strategies, conducts interviews, coordinates pre-employment activities, and maintains accurate applicant records and reporting. The position also supports employee orientation, strengthens the company’s employment brand, and contributes to cost-effective recruiting programs that support organizational growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from intake through offer acceptance and onboarding.
- Proactively source passive candidates using networking, referrals, social media platforms, and other creative sourcing methods.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates, presenting qualified talent and hiring recommendations to managers.
- Develop compelling job postings and promote the company's employer brand across multiple recruiting channels.
- Maintain accurate recruiting data and candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Represent the company at career fairs, networking events, and other recruiting initiatives.
- Support employer branding efforts by creating and sharing recruiting content across social media and other talent attraction channels.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the hiring process.
- Proactively headhunt and engage passive candidates for specialized and hard-to-fill positions using targeted outreach, professional networking, industry research, social media, and résumé databases.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Proven experience sourcing and recruiting passive candidates using advanced sourcing techniques and professional networking.
- Strong consultative approach with the ability to influence hiring decisions and partner effectively with business leaders.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using recruiting metrics to drive hiring decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying current with recruiting trends and sourcing methodologies.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle recruiting or Talent Acquisition experience required.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) for candidate sourcing, tracking, and recruitment management; Paycom experience is a plus.
- Experience recruiting for operations, sales, IT, corporate, or other professional positions preferred.
- Experience recruiting in a high-growth, fast-paced environment is strongly preferred.
