Why this role is exciting:
We are looking for a proactive and motivated Talent Acquisition Partner to join our team on an initial 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with mid-level to senior experience in recruitment who is eager to specialize in technical hiring. You will work closely with hiring managers and the talent acquisition team to identify and secure the best technical talent in the market, helping us achieve our business goals.
Please note that this role is to be based in Cape Town
What you'll do:
Recruitment Support
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the technical roles and key requirements.
- Assist in drafting clear and compelling job advertisements to attract the right candidates.
- Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, from posting jobs to scheduling interviews and managing feedback.
Sourcing Candidates
- Use online job boards, LinkedIn, and other sourcing tools to find qualified candidates.
- Build talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Screen CVs and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidates’ skills and experience.
Candidate Engagement
- Act as the first point of contact for candidates, ensuring a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
- Maintain timely and professional communication with candidates and hiring managers.
- Provide updates on recruitment progress and share candidate insights with stakeholders.
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Track and report on recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire and sourcing effectiveness.
- Ensure all hiring activities align with company policies and best practices.
Does this sound like you?
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
- 3-5 years experience working in a recruitment agency or in-house talent acquisition team
- Basic understanding of roles like software developers, IT specialists, and data analysts is a plus.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, or ATS systems (Greenhouse preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in technical recruitment.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks (e.g. Stack Overflow, LinkedIn and Github)
- Familiarity with recruitment practices in the South African market.
