As a Talent Acquisition Manager for our Oncology team, you will drive the hiring efforts to build a top-tier oncology organization that will expand the reach of our liquid biopsy test, Northstar, that combines cancer treatment selection with monitoring. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will actively source, engage, and hire oncology professionals, while also laying the groundwork to shape the recruitment process from scratch. Eventually, you will build and lead a team of recruiters as we continue to scale. The ideal candidate is a recruiting expert with extensive experience in field sales hiring in oncology, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Oncology Recruiting: Own the end-to-end recruiting process for oncology positions, from sourcing through offer acceptance, ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify and engage high-caliber oncology talent through innovative sourcing strategies. Build a strong pipeline of passive candidates using networking, social media, employee referrals, and other resources.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate closely with hiring managers and business leaders to understand hiring needs, develop comprehensive recruitment strategies, and align on expectations for candidate profiles.
- Candidate Assessment: Conduct thorough initial screens and coordinate with hiring managers to ensure candidates meet our company standards in both technical skills and cultural fit. Provide informed insights and guidance to the hiring team during candidate evaluations.
- Data-Driven Recruitment: Track and analyze key recruiting metrics and performance indicators to drive process improvements. Use data to influence and inform hiring decisions and strategies.
- Employer Branding: Champion BillionToOne’s employer brand within the oncology and diagnostics communities, positioning the company as a destination for top-tier talent.
- Future Team Leadership: Lay the foundation to build and lead a dedicated recruiting team for the oncology group, fostering a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
- Process Improvement: Build and streamline the recruitment process, enhance the candidate experience, and improve efficiency across the function.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of recruiting experience with at least 2 years focused on oncology, field sales roles. Demonstrated success in hiring professionals for rapidly growing organizations.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong partnerships with business leaders, hiring managers, and external stakeholders.
- Project Management: Highly organized and able to manage multiple roles and priorities simultaneously. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is a plus.
- Influence and Change Management: Lead and drive cross-functional initiatives, using persuasive communication and collaborative strategies to influence stakeholders and facilitate organizational change. Develop and implement change management plans that align with company goals, reduce resistance, and ensure smooth transitions for teams and processes.
- Data Orientation: Ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decisions, assess recruiting performance, and optimize hiring processes.
- Future Leadership Potential: Proven track record of influencing and guiding teams, with the potential to build and lead a portion of the recruiting team in the future.

At BillionToOne, we are proud to offer a combination of a (1) base pay range (actual amount offered is based experience and salary/equity options split that the candidate chooses) (2) generous equity options offering, on top of (3) industry leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid parental leave etc.).
For this position, the base pay range is: $170,000-$190,000 per year.
