We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Intern to join our HR team. As the Talent Acquisition intern, you’ll be learning from the team that warmly introduces candidates to L.L.Bean, and as the point of contact for all Interns as the Social Coordinator of the 2026 Intern Class.
This Talent Acquisition Intern & Intern Socialization Coordinator will assume responsibility in 2 key functions:
1. Supporting the Talent Acquisition team to assume various project roles and exposure to hiring processes for Corporate, Retail, Distribution, Manufacturing, Facilities, College Recruiting, and more.
2. Be the point person for the 2026 Summer Internship Class to provide and create opportunities for team bonding, booking/planning/supporting key networking events across Interns’ calendars, explore with and plan events for this class to maximize the summer experience in beautiful coastal Maine.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling to create a best-in-class candidate experience
Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information and status updates.
Support the HR team in organizing and participating in career fairs and recruitment events.
Help with the preparation of recruitment reports and metrics.
Provide administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team as needed.
Leverage sourcing and recruitment tools to learn how to identify and recruit top talent
Partner with recruiters to learn how to review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements
Create and foster relationships with colleges and professional organizations to attract and engage students, alumni, and potential candidates
Assist and support Inclusion & Belonging, Learning & Development and Talent Management initiatives for L.L.Bean
Be the key point of contact and scheduler for the Internship Class to advise and coordinate key summer activities (archery, kayaking, ice cream socials, etc.).
Facilitate and engage the Remote Intern population among the entire Intern group to ensure inclusiveness and a consistent experience for all
Help facilitate meetings with Executives and other mandatory meetings for Interns to provide maximum exposure to all parts of the organization
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies as it relates to the recruiting function
Participate in an end-of-summer group project with fellow interns to propose solutions to real scenarios to Leadership in a high-visibility presentation.
Supports other duties as directed by the Talent Acquisition Manager or other HR Management by virtue of cross-training and providing back-up support as needed
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong long-term interest in Recruitment and Talent Acquisition.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
Previous internship, class or work experience in HR or recruitment is a plus.
Must be able to find personal housing accommodations within a commutable distance to Freeport, ME for the duration of the internship (housing leads, and referrals will be provided. Housing stipend provided for those who qualify)
