Job Summary:

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist based in Taipei, Taiwan to serve as a strategic talent acquisition partner for Semtech’s APAC region. This role will support regional growth and hiring objectives by partnering closely with business leaders, HRBPs, and hiring managers to deliver proactive, high-quality recruiting support across Taiwan, Malaysia, China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Vietnam, the Philippines, Australia, and other APAC markets as business needs evolve. The position expected to operate with strong autonomy, business acumen, and consultative influence in a fast-moving semiconductor and advanced technology environment.

As a regional talent advisor, the incumbent will provide market insights, develop sourcing strategies, strengthen talent pipelines, and help ensure APAC hiring priorities are executed in alignment with business growth plans. The ideal candidate brings deep full-cycle recruiting experience in semiconductor, technology, or engineering environments, strong English communication skills, and familiarity with key APAC talent markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the strategic recruiting partner for APAC, owning the full recruiting lifecycle from workforce planning and requisition intake through offer acceptance and onboarding handoff.
  • Manage a high-volume, multi-country requisition portfolio across APAC, with scope including Taiwan, Malaysia, China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Vietnam, the Philippines, Australia, and additional markets as needed.
  • Partner closely with regional hiring managers, HRBPs, and business leaders to align recruiting priorities, workforce needs, hiring timelines, and talent strategies with APAC growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain active talent pipelines across all role families, with particular focus on the semiconductor and advanced technology engineering talent communities in Taiwan, Malaysia, and China.
  • Develop market-specific sourcing strategies and provide talent market intelligence to guide hiring decisions, compensation positioning, and pipeline planning across APAC.
  • Navigate cross-border recruiting considerations including work authorization requirements, country-specific employment practices, and multi-currency compensation structures.
  • Create compensation package proposals and lead offer negotiations in partnership with HR and Total Rewards, with awareness of local market benchmarks.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate records in Workday and provide regular pipeline and progress updates to regional and global TA leadership.
  • Track and report key hiring metrics (time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, pipeline health, req aging) with a focus on progress against regional headcount targets.
  • Stay current on semiconductor and technology industry hiring trends, competitive landscape, and talent movements across APAC to inform regional hiring strategy and support business growth.
  • Take on additional recruiting responsibilities and support adjacent projects as business needs arise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with demonstrated success supporting semiconductor, hardware, or technical/engineering environments.
  • Proven ability to recruit across multiple APAC markets, with significant experience in several of the following: Taiwan, Malaysia, China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Vietnam, the Philippines, or Australia.
  • Experience recruiting across a range of technical and engineering functions, such as design engineering, product and test engineering, applications engineering, operations, and sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume requisition load across multiple countries with competing priorities and timelines.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, required; ability to communicate clearly and professionally across diverse, multicultural stakeholder groups.
  • Strong sourcing skills across LinkedIn Recruiter, local job boards, professional networks, and region-specific channels.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working independently across time zones in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing Workday as an ATS.
  • Existing professional network within the APAC semiconductor or advanced technology talent community.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor technologies, hardware engineering disciplines, or advanced technology product development.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin strongly preferred given Taiwan-based location and key regional markets in scope.
