Job Summary
Research Management at Mass General Brigham supports one of the nation’s largest academic research enterprises by overseeing the full lifecycle of research. The team partners with investigators and departments to develop proposals, negotiate and manage research contracts, administer awards, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide financial stewardship across a diverse portfolio of federal, industry, and foundation funding. Research Management plays a critical role in enabling high‑impact scientific discovery by delivering expert guidance, operational efficiency, and consistent institutional oversight.The Research Management Transactional Affairs Group drafts and negotiates research agreements in service of its mission to translate Mass General Brigham’s science to the patient bedside. The legal agreements are of high volume, and must comport with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as the hospital’s policies. The accepted candidate will assist transactional associates with managing transactions, information, correspondence and contracts. This is a paid position at $20 per hour for 40 hours per week and will be a fully-remote working environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
-Assist with the review and revision of legal agreements related to research at Mass General Brigham-affiliated institutions. Such agreements may include material transfer agreements, data use agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
-Help maintain and distribute agreements to all parties and appropriate institutional groups.
-Maintain and update files and databases.
-Perform discrete special projects and other relevant duties as assigned.

- Must be enrolled in law school

- Interest in IP law, health law, contract drafting and negotiating strongly preferred.
- Highly organized, with ability to maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability in managing multiple concurrent tasks and relationships.
