Tacton Executive
We are seeking a candidate with experience in product infrastructure, product architecture, and technical configuration within Tacton and PLM systems. The candidate will be responsible for managing technical configurations in Tacton, populating and maintaining eConfig as the owner of Module Design, and ensuring that the product architecture is properly maintained and applied. The role also involves safeguarding the consistency and integrity of product structures across Tacton and PLM systems while collaborating with relevant stakeholders to support accurate product configuration and architecture development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create new module variants in Tacton and Teamcenter based on requirements from NPD and EPD projects, as well as DTOs.
- Ensure that new module variants are accurately configured, documented, and aligned with the approved product architecture.
- Update existing module variants in Tacton and Teamcenter based on approved Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Review and implement configuration changes while ensuring consistency between Tacton and Teamcenter.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the Tacton decanter model. Product knowledge and relevant training will be provided.
- Develop and enhance the Tacton model based on requirements and input from Product Management and Global Sales.
- Ensure that the Tacton model accurately reflects the product portfolio and supports business and customer needs.
- Participate in the monthly release process by preparing and implementing new features and module variants in the Tacton model.
- Test and validate new configurations, identify and resolve issues, and ensure that updates are ready for release.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Global Sales, Engineering, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient product configuration.
- Support the continuous improvement and automation of configuration-related processes.
Required and Preferred Skills
- Experience with Tacton TC Studio.
- Experience with technical product configuration and product modelling.
- Knowledge of product architecture and configuration management.
- Knowledge of Teamcenter or other PLM systems is an advantage.
- Experience with Visual Studio is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Python programming is an advantage.
- Interest in developing small Python-based tools to simplify and automate daily tasks.
- Understanding scripting, automation, or software development practices is beneficial.
- Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into accurate system configurations.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to maintaining product data.
- Good collaboration and communication skills.
