  • Act as the escalation point for critical incidents, coordinating rapid resolution and effective communication.

Platform Stabilisation & Continuous Improvement

  • Promote Sodexo’s Spirit of Progress by leading efforts to stabilise and strengthen platform operations.
  • Focus continuous improvement initiatives on platform health, system performance, and small-scale change that enhances efficiency and reliability.
  • Manage the pipeline of minor enhancements and configuration updates within the Run function, ensuring structured release and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Build team to clearly delineate and hand over larger enhancements or transformational projects, ensuring alignment and readiness.
  • Proactively identify recurring issues and implement preventative measures to reduce incidents and maintain system resilience.

Governance, Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure operational compliance with internal IS&T policies and external frameworks such as SOC2.
  • Maintain up-to-date runbooks, configuration records, and technical documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits through timely evidence and operational reporting.
  • Identify risks early and work with the Head of IT Systems to develop and execute mitigation strategies.

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Application Specialists and Infrastructure Administrators within the Run function.
  • Foster Sodexo’s Team Spirit by promoting collaboration, accountability, and mutual respect.
  • Build technical depth and service management capability across the team.
  • Encourage a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and ownership of service outcomes.

Collaboration & Partnerships

  • Collaborate closely with the Build team to ensure seamless project handovers and operational readiness.
  • Work with internal and external partners, including vendors, to maintain stability and timely resolution of issues.
  • Liaise with architecture, security, and compliance teams to ensure technical alignment with corporate standards.
  • Communicate operational insights, risks, and improvement opportunities to leadership and business stakeholders.
