Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Test Engineer – Level 2 or 3 based out of Morrisville, NC.

Position Overview:

Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.

This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work. 

This requisition may be filled as either a level 2 or level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

  • Must have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with ground system software deployment, integration and testing in complex, layered, cloud-based environments
  • Understanding of requirements decomposition, verification activity planning and execution
  • Ability to collaborate with software development teams to ensure understanding, reproduction steps, resolution approach
  • Ability to proactively identify software issues, perform troubleshooting and root cause investigation in support of generating detailed problem reports and engage in rapid, collaborative resolution
  • Experience with Scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash), Git, Containerization (Kubernetes, Helm), and Java

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree, or 1 year of relevant experience with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with ground system software deployment, integration and testing in complex, layered, cloud-based environments
  • Understanding of requirements decomposition, verification activity planning and execution
  • Ability to collaborate with software development teams to ensure understanding, reproduction steps, resolution approach
  • Ability to proactively identify software issues, perform troubleshooting and root cause investigation in support of generating detailed problem reports and engage in rapid, collaborative resolution
  • Experience with Scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash), Git, Containerization (Kubernetes, Helm), and Java

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Security+ certification
  • Adjudicated and active CI Poly
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Understanding of Agile roles and responsibilities
  • Expertise/understanding of Robot Framework and AWS

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,600.00 - $119,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
