This team is part of the Print Operations Business.
About the Role
Under supervision provides support, maintenance and operation of electronic and electromechanical systems used to produce publications or products at various corporate locations. You will be based in our Chicopee, Massachusetts Print Plant reporting to our Technology Services Supervisor.
You Will:
- Support the integration of new technologies into operations.
- Support desktop and server hardware, operating systems, middleware, messaging, and network architectures.
- Support data communications systems and equipment.
- Perform system software, application, and hardware upgrades.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain desktop systems.
- Monitor and analyze the operation of systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning of lines, hardware and software.
- Notify management and customers of system and network troubles.
- Identify and resolve problems using structured troubleshooting methods, techniques and tools for systems, applications, data communications and electromechanical equipment.
- Provide basic help desk support for customers areas, including providing information on trouble resolution.
- Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures, documents, drawings and system documentation including operating manuals.
You Have:
- 3- 5 years experience supporting related technologies.
- Technical Degree or equivalent military training or related work experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of applicable technology models.
- Hands-on knowledge of technology architectures and products.
- Hands-on knowledge of computer system hardware.
- Hands-on knowledge of network topologies and hardware.
- Working knowledge of middleware integration and networking software
- Hands-on knowledge of diagnostic hardware and software tools.
