Job Description:

The Systems Support Specialist provides advanced technical support and administration for the College's enterprise infrastructure, including on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. This position is responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, security, monitoring, automation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise servers, Microsoft 365 services, Azure cloud resources, identity management, virtualization platforms, storage, databases, and business-critical applications; works collaboratively with Information Technology staff, vendors, and campus departments to ensure highly available, secure, and reliable technology services while supporting the College's strategic initiatives. Reports to Director, Systems Support.

Minimum Qualifications:  Graduation from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and four years of professional experience administering enterprise IT environments, including Microsoft enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Azure cloud services, virtualization, storage, networking, scripting, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications. Five years of progressively responsible enterprise systems administration experience may substitute for the required bachelor’s degree. A successful criminal background check is required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations.  Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position.  A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Prefer experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Azure Virtual Desktop, and automation using PowerShell and KQL.  Experience administering Hyper-V, SQL Server, IIS, SAN storage, enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud environments.

Salary Range: $50,800.00 - $55,800.00
