Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Software Systems Integrator - Level 3 or 4 based out of Aurora, CO.
What you'll get to do:
We are looking for a seasoned Software System Integrator to join a cross‑functional agile team. The role focuses on deploying and managing Kubernetes‑based services, creating and maintaining configuration‑management documentation, performing end‑to‑end system integration and validation, and automating regression testing. The ideal candidate is comfortable troubleshooting in a Linux environment, understands basic Docker and Java concepts, can debug services.
Job Duties
- Baseline Definition & Control – Understand what code, configuration, and tools are in each official baseline. Ensure every baseline is reproducible and traceable (version tags, branches, build scripts). Manage change control into the baseline (only approved changes, proper review).
- Integration of Components - Take software from multiple teams and deploy them into a single working build across multiple environments. Resolve integration conflicts and coordinate with developers to fix issues and clarify interface requirements.
- Configuration‑Management Documentation – Work closely with CM to ensure baselines are properly tagged, documented, and archived. Ensure each baseline is linked to requirements, change requests, and defect records. Maintain traceability, i.e., which features/fixes are in which baseline and when they were introduced
- Verification & Integration Testing Support - Support integration and regression testing by providing stable, well-defined builds. Verify that integrated baselines are testable (correct configs, data, environment). Help triage defects discovered in integrated builds (is it integration, environment, or code issue?).
- Risk & Dependency Management - Identify integration risks (late deliveries, unstable components, interface changes), coordinate priorities when multiple teams need changes in the same baseline, and help plan integration sequences (what integrates first, what depends on what)
- Agile Collaboration – Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming within a cross‑functional team.
