As a Systems Security Manager II, you will take on a more strategic role in overseeing the organization's information security policies and practices. Reporting to the Systems Security Director, you will manage a larger team, lead critical security initiatives, and ensure the robustness of the organization's security posture.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive information security policies.
  • Manage a larger, more diverse systems security team.
  • Oversee and coordinate complex security projects.
  • Conduct advanced risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
  • Monitor and respond to sophisticated security incidents.
  • Mentor and develop junior security managers and staff.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security integration.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge security technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Report on security metrics and incidents to executive management.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Current / Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related Engineering field of study.
  • 9+ years of experience in IT security or a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. 
  • Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews.
  • Knowledge of technical standards relating to systems security; experience administering UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, experience with large-scale server systems, thin client architecture, system virtualization and other related peripherals.
  • Experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements as outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DOD, ICD 503, Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) & National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) RMF.
  • Experience with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001.
  • 24 months of experience as ISSM work on USAF Classified Platform IT Systems Assessments & Authorization, accreditation packages, and Continuous Monitoring.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Graduate degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related Engineering field of study.
  • Experience with software such as Splunk or ELK [other Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)], ACAS / Nessus, HBSS, eMASS or Xacta.
  • Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). 

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work primarily at a computer for extended periods.
  • Capability to participate in on-call rotation for incident response.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
