We are looking for a talented, self-motivated Full Stack Java Developer to join our organization. The candidate will work as part of Alternatives technical team responsible for delivering new solutions for a demanding business.

The candidate will be primarily responsible for writing and managing source code, automated tests, ensuring continuous integration, tracking issues and creating a continuous deployment environment. This may also include being the lead on proposals, projects, and promoting new architecture tools, processes, and techniques. The candidate will assist in identifying, defining, and analyzing legacy and emerging systems and software designs.

Some of your key responsibilities include:  

  • Design, develop and test a variety of application components.
  • Design and develop distributed computing systems used by internal and external clients
  • Research new technology options and develop POCs for evaluation.
  • Create integration and application technical design documentation.
  • Complete development, configuration, and unit testing of high complexity areas
  • Resolve complex defects during testing phases.
  • Support and execute performance testing.
  • Collaborate with business teams to clarify requirements, understand application use case and business processes.
  • Assist junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Provide production support and assist in troubleshooting production environment as well as environment tuning.
  • Ensure best practices are followed from a technical perspective during all phases of the project.
  • Conduct code reviews for other team members and verify standards and practices for the team
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and contribute to architecture and design discussions
  • Identify issues and risks and proactively add to the iterative discussion
  • Communicate efficiently within and outside the team

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent understating and 7+ years of experience in Java and Java EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, Kafka
  • Knowledge and work Experience of the Angular 2+ framework with Typescript experience – 4+ Years
  • Knowledge and work Experience of NODEJS and npm as well as JavaScript (ES6+)/JavaScript Frameworks, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, XML, JSON, and AJAX – 5+ Years
  • Knowledge and experience with relational database technologies preferably with experience in an ORM persistence tool such as Hibernate
  • PL/SQL, Oracle experience in building SQL queries, stored procedures and data modeling experience.
  • Working experience with IBM DB2 databases and DB2 SQL is a plus
  • Knowledge and work experience with application containers such as Apache Tomcat and WebSphere
  • Focus on quality development (unit testing, Continuous Integration, refactoring, clean code)
  • Familiarity with cloud and container technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Experience in developing REST web services in Java.
  • Must have at least 7+ years of experience implementing business applications
  • Ability to design enterprise wide, large scale implementations
  • Experience with SOAP/REST web service development
  • Familiar with tools such as GIT, SVN, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle
  • Comfortable with working in Scrum/Agile methodologies.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related work experience required.​

   

Salary Range

$100,000 - $150,000 + Annual Target Bonus

BBH and its affiliates' compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
