About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations Senior Manager to lead our Enterprise Application Packaging and Software Distribution function. This role is responsible for ensuring that business-critical software is packaged, tested, deployed, maintained, and retired efficiently and securely across Windows and macOS environments.
This role is accountable for Desktop software delivery to 250K+ endpoints that directly impacts employee productivity, endpoint security, software compliance, and the overall user experience. Lead a team of engineers responsible for delivering software to thousands of endpoints globally while driving modernization through automation, AI, and modern endpoint management practices.
In this role, you will:
  • Manage and develop teams of analysts, associates, and less experienced managers in roles that provide technical services and support for the relevant supported systems
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers in order to engineer projects, identify new products and solutions, and research solutions for existing systems
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system, as well as the periodic system review
  • Perform network assessments, security audits, and system enhancement consultations
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Systems Operations team to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures, and understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area
  • Provide implementation support for key risk initiatives
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, analysts, or associates
  • Ensure the Systems Operations team communicates with customers to keep them informed of incident progress, and notify them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Systems Operations
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Systems Engineering and Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience

  • Drive the strategy, devise roadmap, and operational delivery of enterprise application packaging and software distribution services.
  • Lead teams responsible for application onboarding, packaging, deployment, patching, vulnerability remediation, lifecycle management, and software retirement.
  • Ensure software is delivered securely, reliably, and at scale while meeting business, regulatory, and security requirements.
  • Drive large-scale software deployments, operating system migrations, and enterprise remediation initiatives.
  • Practice and encourage a culture of ownership, accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Establish high performance service metrics and use data to improve reliability, deployment success rates, service quality, and user satisfaction.
  • Partner closely with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, Workplace Technology, and Business Technology teams to deliver enterprise priorities.
  • Drive adoption of automation, self-service capabilities, and AI-driven solutions that improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Lead vendor relationships, financial planning, workforce strategy, and service governance.
  • Develop future leaders and create an environment where teams are empowered to innovate, solve problems, and deliver results.
Job Expectations:
  • 7+ years of Enterprise Endpoint Engineering, Workplace Technology, or Infrastructure experience.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing global delivery teams.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise application portfolios and large-scale endpoint deployments.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise engineering or operations teams in a large and complex environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build, coach, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive alignment across organizations, and lead through change.

  • Experience building self-service software deployment and application onboarding capabilities and supporting Cloud PC, Virtual Desktop, and hybrid workplace environments.

  • Microsoft, Azure, ITIL, or related industry certifications.
  • Microsoft Intune & Modern Endpoint Management including application deployment, remediation, endpoint compliance, Autopatch, Update Rings, and Endpoint Analytics.
  • Application Packaging Engineering including Numecent Cloudpaging, AdminStudio, InstallShield, MSIX, and PowerShell-based deployment frameworks.
  • Enterprise Software Distribution & Security Remediation including large-scale deployments, patching, software lifecycle management, release governance, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Automation & Platform Engineering leveraging PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Azure services, DevOps practices, and workflow automation.
  • AI-Enabled Software Delivery using Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, AI Agents, and intelligent automation to improve software deployment and operational efficiency.
