Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' Baltimore and Partnered Sites (BaPs) division is seeking a Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) Engineer (Level 2) in Baltimore, MD to support the Global Mission Solutions Business Unit. Qualified Systems Integration, Test & Evaluation (SITE) engineers will perform hands-on integration and testing of sophisticated RF sensor systems, including both hardware and software components in production environments; Perform development and testing of software that manages an embedded system ensuring compliance to established requirements. Selected individuals will work on a systems engineering team, that involves embedded processing including using Linux and/or Python; conduct system Acceptance Test procedures in a SAP environment; Participate in the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for verifying system requirements; This position will work within a team environment consisting of Engineering, program management, technical, production and supporting staff. The ideal candidate will have strong teamworking skills and exhibit comprehensive verbal and
written communication/presentation skills. This position would be based in Baltimore, MD, which requires being onsite, and does not support remote or hybrid work. Individuals must be self-starters and able to efficiently operate in a team environment. Existing engineering and system specialists will be made available to assist with any activities associated with executing primary tasking. However, the selected individuals will be expected to prioritize and make recommendations to Technical Leads, as required, to implement tasking assigned.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Integration, troubleshooting, and testing RF sensor systems
- Perform test and evaluation of Repair Units returning from customer
- Working on a system bench, running acceptance test procedure, writing test reports, troubleshooting hardware and software, communicating status updates
- Perform development and testing of software that manages an embedded system
- Performing data transfers between SAP areas
- Support the development and maintenance of system integration plans and system test plans.
- Collaborating with union cross-functional teams including manufacturing personnel and operations
- Communication of status to Engineering and Program leadership
The selected candidates will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The selected candidates are expected to be technically savvy, self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
- Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start is required.
- Candidate must be a US citizen
- Experience with RF lab test equipment: i.e. signal generator, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving HW/SW/FW integration problems
- Experience coding in Linux/Python to support coding, test scripting, data analysis, and signal processing
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Experience working a system bench, running acceptance test plans, writing test reports, troubleshooting hardware and software, communicating status updates.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Baltimore, MD

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
