The Opportunity

This position works out of our location in Lake County, IL on site. We currently have an opportunity for a Systems Integration Specialist.

What You’ll Work On

  • Write and execute moderately complex system related verification and or characterization protocols and data packages.

  • Moderate proficiency in operation of instrument, software operating systems, and repair/replacement of parts/subassemblies.

  • Support moderately complex investigations of system issues. Troubleshooting across multiple system functions (hardware and software or hardware and assay performance problems).

  • Identify, confirm, and interpret interacting causes & effects behind instrument issues, discrepancies, problems, or complaints in accordance with governing procedures.

  • Apply quantitative methods, analyze data, evaluate results, form conclusion, and provide and implement improvements.

  • Collaborates across functional areas - Present, deliver and interpret information amongst product team members, managers, and other systems development personnel.

  • Maintain adherence to Quality System - Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.

  • Review technical risks and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.

  • Technical Leadership and Mentoring - May provide input into moderate to complex project and design plans and timelines.

  • Work well with others in a collaborative, goal-driven environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life or Physical Science, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, (or closely related discipline is preferred).

  • 2 + years of work-related experience with degree or sufficient transferable experience to demonstrate functional equivalence to a degree.

  • Experience in immunoassay development, assay technical support or assay reagent design.

  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of Good Lab Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, laboratory duties,

  • 2 + years of PC Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Data representation

  • Experience in Abbott or similar company in a similar role.

The base pay for this position is

$57,300.00 – $114,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
