Aptive is seeking a Systems Integration Specialist to support the ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC) Health Information Technology Unit (HITU) IT modernization by coordinating, validating, and supporting systems integration efforts across platforms, applications, and data sources. This role focuses on enabling interoperability and ensuring alignment of vendor-delivered and internal systems with IHSC architecture, security, and operational requirements.
The Systems Integration Specialist supports the development and maintenance of system interfaces, coordinates with vendors and internal teams, and documents integration architectures, interface specifications, and data flows. The role supports integration testing and helps identify and resolve integration defects, data inconsistencies, and performance issues.
The ideal candidate understands systems integration and interoperability principles and can collaborate effectively with Solutions Developers, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers. Work is performed within authorized environments and in compliance with security, privacy, and governance requirements.
Primary Responsibilities- Support coordination, validation, and integration activities across IHSC Health IT platforms and applications.
- Support development and maintenance of system interfaces by coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
- Collaborate with Solutions Developers, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers to ensure technical solutions align with functional requirements.
- Support integration testing, validation, and acceptance activities.
- Document integration architectures, interface specifications, and data flows.
- Assist in identifying and resolving integration defects, data inconsistencies, and performance issues.
- Support system enhancements and IT modernization initiatives involving multiple interconnected systems.
- Ensure integrations comply with security, privacy, and governance requirements.
- Participate in change management and release activities related to integrated solutions.
- Working knowledge of systems integration principles, including application interoperability, data exchange, and interface design.
- Experience supporting integration of enterprise IT systems, including coordination between front-end applications, back-end services, and data platforms.
- Ability to assist with design, configuration, and testing of system integrations under senior technical guidance.
- Familiarity with API-based integrations, event-driven architecture, data feeds, and system-to-system communication methods.
- Ability to document technical architecture, integration flows, and interface specifications.
- Skill in identifying and troubleshooting integration defects, data inconsistencies, and performance issues.
- Understanding of change management and release processes within a structured development environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Solutions Developers, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE fitness determination (public trust) and execute a DHS Non-Disclosure Agreement.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Experience supporting DHS, ICE, IHSC, or other federal healthcare IT or EHR modernization (EHRM) programs.
- Experience integrating healthcare or enterprise systems and data platforms.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and data exchange patterns.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Solutions Developers, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform integration capabilities.
