We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support software and system deployments, Linux administration, containerized environments, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps operations. This position will support secure, mission-critical systems and requires hands-on experience with Kubernetes, networking, CI/CD automation, and hybrid cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Support software and system deployments, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux environments, including RHEL and CentOS
- Design, configure, maintain, and upgrade LAN/CAN/WAN networks using Cisco and Arista devices
- Deploy and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters for availability, scalability, and security
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab
- Develop automation using Python and Bash
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Ansible or Terraform
- Manage and monitor hybrid cloud and virtualized environments
- Provide 24/7 call-in support for critical operational system discrepancies
- Travel as required for system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Required Qualifications
- Must be fully cleared with a recent MD polygraph
- Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
- Two (2) years of experience with software/system deployments, Linux system administration, containerization, cloud deployments, and DevSecOps
- Recent experience within the last three (3) years with Kubernetes, cluster orchestration, and containerization
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience with RHEL/CentOS
- Experience with Cisco and Arista networking and LAN/CAN/WAN environments
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Python and Bash scripting
- Experience with Jenkins or GitLab and Ansible or Terraform
- Experience managing or monitoring hybrid cloud and virtualized environments
- Ability to provide 24/7 call-in support and travel as required
- Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570-compliant certification, such as Security+
- CCNA certification
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science
- Four (4) years of additional experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree
- A Master of Science in Engineering or Computer Science may substitute for two (2) years of experience

Skills Required

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of experience as a Systems Integrator, Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, Software Integrator, or related technical role
- Experience administering and supporting Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with system installation, configuration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of hardware and software deployment processes
- Experience supporting software development and integration activities
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Foundation in Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware vSphere environments
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)
- Experience with Ansible automation and configuration management
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure and system deployments
- Experience working in lab and field integration environments
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerized application deployments
- Experience supporting mission-critical or secure operational systems
